Daniel Mattos
Executive and Program Director
After growing up playing for several youth soccer and futsal academies in Brazil, Daniel moved to the United States in 2006 with a 100% athletic scholarship to play for Penn State University. Later, he transferred to the University of West Florida where he finished his college playing career and a degree in Business Administration, minor in Marketing. Later Daniel pursued his MBA in Business Administration at Eastern Michigan University. He has vast coaching experience in youth and college level soccer (Assistant Coach for Madonna University for 2 seasons). In 2014, Daniel co-founded and started as a Technical Director for the Michigan Futsal Factory Academy program. In 2016 he brought the program to Illinois and founded the IL Futsal Factory Academy.

Coach Kurt has been a pivotal presence in the ILFFA since day one. Reside in Cary, IL. Married to Daphne. Father of 2 girls, Finley (8) and Tatum (5). He describes coaching soccer and futsal as passion and a privilege that he is grateful to be a part of. Kurt's other passions are spending time with family, traveling, and golf.

After growing up playing futsal in Brazil, Hugo played professionally futsal for one year and then he played college for Celso Lisboa also in Brazil. After 3 years as a technical assistant at an academy club in Brazil he came to the US in 2018 to work as Head Coach with Soccer and Futsal with TetraBrazil company. He has 7 years as a head coach and trainer in US with youth teams and also working with another programs like Soccer Camps and Schools.

Bruno MoraesCoach
Born and raised in Brazil, Bruno played soccer and futsal for some academy programs and semi-pro clubs in Brasília. A futsal/soccer coach since 2015, his first soccer coaching experience in the US was with TetraBrazil Company in 2018, when he moved to Wisconsin. And since then he has been coaching in several different states around the US including experiences as head coach for different youth clubs. Bruno bas his BA degree Physical Education by the Universidade Católica of Brasília.

JASON AHONENCoach
Jason grew up in Lake County and was a multi-sport athlete in high school (Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball). He then played soccer at the College of Lake County and then went on to play at Carthage College. Jason received his Bachelor’s degree in Education and Exercise and Sport Science. He later received his Master’s Degree in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University. Jason is entering his 15th year as the Head Coach at Warren Township High School. During his tenure at WTHS, he has led the Blue Devils to an overall record of 194-80-51, back to back state finals appearances, a State Championship in 2012, and a perfect season in the Spring of 2021 (15-0-0). During his time at WTHS 17 players have signed Division 1 scholarships and many others have played at the collegiate level.
